The Challenge: Despite the oil and gas industry nearby, youth in Ghana's Ellembelle District face a severe digital skills gap and high unemployment. Access to high-quality tech training is virtually nonexistent.
Our Solution: A 12-month pilot to deliver intensive training to 200 motivated youth (targeting 60% young women) in high-demand skills like Web Development, Digital Marketing, and UI/UX Design.
Key Innovation: The Mobile Tech Bus 🚌
To overcome the lack of infrastructure, our solution is a custom-built, solar-powered Mobile Tech Bus that brings the classroom directly to the community.
- Mobile Classroom: A vehicle equipped with 20 laptop stations, solar power, and reliable satellite internet (Starlink).
- Community Hubs: The bus will rotate between the towns of Nkroful, Esiama, and Anyinase, bringing training directly to those who need it most.
- Job Focus: The program includes dedicated mentorship and career services, aiming for a 70% job or freelance placement rate upon graduation.
